9JKL, 9:30/8:30c, Only CBS.
I was recently invited to the 9JKL live taping at CBS studios and it was mesmerizing. First, off I’d like to thank everyone at CBS Studios and 9JKL for hosting me, it was super cool to see behind the scenes at my favorite show. Above you'll find the entire Q&A with the cast, even off screen they are funny. One of the many reasons I think this show "works" is that they all respect one another off screen and the were a family. It was obvious that they look after one another and care about each other, it's authentic and that's why the show is a hit.
The 9jkl cast is superb, let me give you the rundown, you’ll be blown away. Linda Lavin and Elliott Gould play the parents. If you don’t know Linda Lavin, she uses to play Alice, and Elliot, well, Ocean's 11 and much more! Mark Feuerstein plays the son who’s returned home and Mark, well he’s been in numerous tv show hits, Royal Pains for one.
The storyline, Linda, plays the meddling mom, Elliot is your wacky, comical dad and their ex-Hollywood TV star son (Feuerstein), who tries to rebound by moving “temporarily” into the Manhattan apartment next door to his folks. That's not all, next door, his surgeon brother (David Walton, “About a Boy”) and bro’s pediatrician wife (Liza Lapira, “Super Fun Night”). There’s even a sassy tweenager neighbor kid (Albert Tsai, “Dr. Ken”).
Here’s the thing, 9JKL hits home with me, because I did move home and it’s exactly as you’d think, funny, happy, crazy and a lot of family time. Feuerstein is charming and charismatic, Feuerstein with all his talent leads his entire cast into comedy gold that will have you laughing out loud. If you haven’t caught 9JKL, make sure to catch their Thanksgiving special. This will be great to get you in the mood for family bonding time, filled with laughter this Thanksgiving!
