THE 6TH ANNUAL CELEBRITY RED CARPET SAFETY EVENT Held at The Commissary at Sony Picture Studios Lot

The 6th ANNUAL CELEBRITY RED CARPET SAFETY EVENT was a HIT! Held at Sony studios, it’s star studded extravaganza is a show stopper. With all the fun activities, plethora of vendors to choose from it’s easy to forget that you’re there for car seat awareness. Don’t get me wrong, there’s Diono, Britax, KidsEmbrace and Nuna on hand to answer all your question but it’s high energy, out of this world entertainment is remarkable. The event aims to help spread awareness about Car Seat Safety as well as other areas of safety that affect parents and their precious loved ones. Did you know that 4 out of every 5 car seats are NOT installed properly? That’s 80% of children who are riding around unsafe in cars. Which is insane to me! If you know me well you know what my hot button is, CAR SEATS! As a mom, Neighborhood City Council Member and child safety advocate I firmly believe every child needs to be in a 5 point harness. Here are the basics, Children under the age of 8 must be secured in a car seat or booster seat in the back seat. Children who are 8 years of age OR have reached 4'9” in height may be secured by a booster seat, but at a minimum must be secured by a safety belt. (California Vehicle Code Section 27363.) Children under 2 years of age shall ride in a rear-facing car seat unless the child weighs 40 or more pounds OR is 40 or more inches tall. The child shall be secured in a manner that complies with the height and weight limits specified by the manufacturer of the car seat. (California Vehicle Code Section 27360.)

Here’s the great part of Celebrity Red Carpet Safety event, they had car seat safety demonstrations on Diono Pacificas, Radians and Rainiers; Evenflo SafeMax 3-in-1 seats; UPPAbaby Mesa infant seats; Nuna PIPA, RAVA & AACE seats, Britax with their new Endeavours and Cybex AtonQ Infant Seats.

Now onto the fun shenanigans! From “coaster areas” where little ones learned about activity safety with Step2 Xtreme Coasters and Up & Down Coasters, Step 2 we need an extreme coaster, it was EPIC! Some major fun activities were available for you and your little ones as well, from water-play, tricycle race track, face painting, cookie-decorating, arts and crafts, play-house fun, imaginary kitchen play, some carnival games, and so much more!

Tot Squad, you are the everyday heroes! Teaming up with Celebrity Red Carpet and bringing your expertise to help families is above and beyond, thank you. Day in and day out you check car seats, educate parents and understand that co-parenting is hard as it is and you make it easier! The above you’ll is Jen from Tot Squad installing a car seat in my ex's car. Pardon the shaky video, I was cracking up as my little one was squeezing Jens cheeks and trying to pull of her name badge. I’ll be going to Tot Squads new location for a better video and most importantly to show you all the fabulous spot!

Thank you Celebrity Red Carpet for including us, we look forward to your event every year and it only gets better! Ali and Saarah, you two are an amazing team, because of you, you've changed so many people's lives by educating them and providing for our community by collaborating with Baby 2 Baby, Bravo! x
