Alice Through the Looking Glass

Alice Through the Looking Glass is more than just a whimsical fairytale, it teaches us about life, friendship and having the confidence to do whatever we believe in. Don't listen to the critiques, they forget that sometimes a little madness is needed our lives. Life is taken so seriously, movies that capture your imagination are rare, this movie is truly spectacular. Alice Through the Looking Glass is so much more than just an imaginative wonderland of escapades, it's one giant life lesson, enjoy your time!

I will not spill the beans on the ending of this movie however what I will tell you is that you'll love it. Highly recommend seeing this with your kids who are as young as 3. My three old son was awestruck, he looked at me and said, "mamma I like it."

The movie follows Alice throughout her adventure and quest to help a friend, along the way she runs into all sorts of mischief. What I love about the portrayal and underlying story is that Alice is fearless and ambitious, a true friend. Alice Through the Looking Glass touches upon how fragile life is, appreciating our loved ones while they are here, putting aside bitter and petty arguments that seem catastrophic at the moment. Sibling rivalry, in this case it's between sisters, how it can blow up and break down the closest of families. Pivotal moments in our lives no matter how minor, shape our way of thinking and in turn the path we choose will be determined by that very moment unbeknownst to us. Friends standing by one another, supporting, listening and being the strength that's needed when one is at their weakest.

Protecting our loved ones, cherishing time spent together, showing love and gratitude to everyone in our lives, this is what Alice Through the Looking Glass represented. Even though it's mythical we can all learn something from each character of the movie. Yes, we can even learn from Time (Sacha Baron Cohen), he wanted to be loved by Evil Red Queen, even the Evil Red Queen ( Helena Bonham Carter) wanted to be accepted, not ridiculed and to fit in. There was at least one persona that we can all resonate with, that's what made this movie even more touching. We have to make the conscious decision of how we will live our lives, we must take responsibility for our actions and stand by each other in time of need.

You and your entire family and or friends will love this movie. You'll leave feeling euphoric, anything is possible and giddy. And if you go with your kids, they'll do what my son has been doing, touching every mirror to see if he'll be able to slip through the looking glass.

~ It's time for a little madness~

"After slipping through a mirror, Alice (Mia Wasikowska) finds herself back in Underland with the White Queen (Anne Hathaway), the Cheshire Cat, the White Rabbit, Tweedledee and Tweedledum. Her friends tell her that the Mad Hatter (Johnny Depp) is depressed over the death of his family. Hoping to save his loved ones, Alice steals the Chronosphere from Time (Sacha Baron Cohen) to travel into the past. While there, she encounters the younger Hatter and the evil Red Queen (Helena Bonham Carter)."
