BAD MOMS Night Out!

The conundrum, “If a tree falls in the forest and you don’t hear it, did it really fall?” In our case, if you gather a group of MOMS together to celebrate the BAD MOMS DVD release and not take a million pictures and post on social media, “did it really happen?” I can let you know in confidence, YES it did, and it was glorious. First off it was a surprise BAD MOMS gathering, we posted the invites as “Book Club” come and make new friends. As moms we meet other mommy friends at the PTA meetings, kids drop offs, our children's classes but this was different. Come one, come all, to meet other moms and relax. Popping in the DVD for BAD MOMS was the BEST! My favorite part of the DVD, the BLOPPERS!! Yes, I screamed that, get ready to laugh your butt off and make sure you've done your kegels.

I knew the night was going to be hit when Fresh Brothers Brentwood, YogurtLand Santa Monica and Susie Cakes was going to participate on top of all the fabulous goodies BAD MOMS had sent us. Fresh Brothers filled our tummies with their delicious Farm Fresh Salad, YogurtLand Santa Monica provided us 25 different flavors of their frozen yogurt. Yup, you read that right, 25, it was glorious and tasty. Susie's Cake provided a gift certificate for one lucky mom, thank you for making it a sweet night. A HUGE Thank You to BAD MOMS who provided us wine/shot glasses, Blu-ray DVD of BAD MOMS, wine carrier, adult coloring books, eye mask, ear plugs, T-shirt, shaker, wine opener set. We were also given Iceland's Water which is Iceland’s Greatest Natural Resource and they are exceptionally pure and naturally alkaline spring water from Iceland! Had fun decorating our nails with NailSnaps which thousands of nail artists and fans who have created over 50k purchasable nail designs with their award-winning NailSnaps mobile app. Together with their fierce team, they’re making NailSnaps the world’s best way to create, share, and wear custom nail art.

If you know me well, you know I love to color, so when we each received “Mommy Drinks Because You Cry” coloring book, I was in heaven. MOMMY DRINKS BECAUSE YOU CRY is the adult coloring book for the delightfully impolite. For the rare moments you have to yourself, enjoy the calming act of coloring with a little dose of sass. This collection of beautiful designs and fun illustrations are paired with the very best of all our worst thoughts, from “I child-proofed my house, but they still get in,” to “Home is where the vodka is.” Each hilariously captioned design is printed on sturdy, tear-out pages perfect for amusing decoration or passive-aggressive gift-giving. When you want to unwind with coloring but aren’t in the mood to embrace sunshine and daisies, MOMMY DRINKS BECAUSE YOU CRY is the perfect adult coloring book to let you speak your native sarcasm!

I have to say, the reason I love BAD MOMS, not only is it funny but it emphasis on the importance of friendship, banning mommy shame and creating a camaraderie between moms. It’s important to support one another, we are all doing the best we can, just because we don’t see eye to eye, we are doing what’s right for our family. That doesn’t make us a BAD MOM it makes us the BADDEST MOM. So the next time you see that mom no ones says hello to, stop and say hi. Or the mom that looks frazzled, ask her if you can help in anyway. You have no idea what’s going on in someone's life, they might be projecting perfection (Christina Applegate's character) but it might not be the case. We are all losing our marbles, some faster than others but we are all in the same boat. As a mom, I understand the often thankless work it takes to raise my son, I agree with the film that being a mom is one of the toughest jobs out there. It can be overwhelming and exhausting, and at times you need to take a break, have fun and do something for yourself. However, at the end of the day, we love our children fiercely and have a universal desire to build a strong foundation for our children, most of all don’t mess with our cubs, mamma bear will pounce! Let’s be kind to one another and celebrate each other, with unity the possibilities are endless.
