LA Weekly Sips & Sweets!

This past weekend LA Weekly held their annual Sips & Sweets at the infamous Petersen Museum. This was our second year attending and in my opinion I didn’t think they could have outdone last years but boy was I wrong. The Petersen Automotive Museum has over one-hundred vehicles on display in its twenty-five galleries. The remaining half of the collection is kept in a "vault," located on the basement level of the building. The ground floor focuses on automotive artistry, showcasing an array of extravagant automobiles. The second floor is principally concerned with industrial engineering including design, performance, and a collection of interactive teaching exhibits. Special displays on the industry floor cover racing, motorcycles, hot rods and customs. The third floor chronicles the history of the automobile with an emphasis on the car culture of Southern California.

Now imagine these priceless cars surrounded by the best patisserie chefs that LA has to offer. It was bound to be an evening that would be unforgettable. LA Sips & Sweets had over 20+ of the city’s top bakers including LA’s best mixologists to pair with our sweets. I couldn’t get enough of the tasty morsels that surrounded us. The intricate detail work on some of the desserts were truly works of art that I wanted to keep and show to my friends but I happily ate every last decadent piece of heaven that was placed before us.
