Our Day At Universal Studios!

The last time I was at Universal Studios was when I was a kid, needless to say discovering Uni Studios through my childs eyes was absolutely amazing. If you live in LA or OC you’ve got to purchase their California Neighbor Pass. For $129.00 you’ll have access to Universal Studios over 175 days, that’s 38 weekend dates and you’ll receive discounts on food (excludes alcoholic beverage) and merchandise!

I’ve been telling everybody that will listen to me how much I loved Universal Studios and the first question I’m met with, “Isn’t it expensive?” Yes and No, let me explain, it’s important to purchase the pass at $129 versus paying $105 + depending on your ticket, this way you’ll have access to the park whenever you want. Uni Studios is exciting and with kid friendly attractions such as The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Despicable Me Minion, Curious George, The Simpsons, Jurassic Park, Shrek 4-D and Characters in the park will keep them entertained and most importantly you’ll love it. If you have a little one that has special needs and your stroller is a necessity when you’re standing in line Uni Studios has you covered. Swing by Guest Services for a special pass that will allow you to roll it through queues so your little one is comfortable.

Your very first stop MUST be The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, it’s magnificent! Entering this striking attraction you’ll immediately be transported to a magical and mystical time. The Wizarding World, also referred to as the magical community, is the society in which wizards and witches live and interact separate from the Muggle (non-wizarding) society. The two communities are kept separate through the use of charms, spells, and secrecy. Wizards are forbidden to reveal anything about magic to Muggle society due to the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy. Which are you? A Muggle or a Wizard? Once you’ve entered the Wizarding World archway, visually everything is enchanting, take a moment, stand still and look at the detail work. You’ll discover pubs, carts with barrels of Butter Beer. With a little bit of magic you’ll find yourself flying in the air on the Dragon Challenge rollercoaster. Or you may stroll through the castle and go on a Forbidden Journey that will have your heart pounding all the while Harry Potter is leading you to safety. The Wizarding World of Harry Potter is a lovely place for an afternoon stroll. Or if you dare, wander into Ollivanders, this is where young wizards come in search of their most essential wizarding supply, their wand. Inside, towering walls reveal thousands of wand boxes stacked to the ceiling. And inside each box, a wand is waiting to choose a wizard.

You can even buy all of your Hogwarts school supplies and other knick-knacks in the many shops that inhabit this magically inspired world. Needless to say I had a blast, my discovery led me to the wand that had chosen me, my magical mischief has just begun. My wand “ASH,” is magical and ordinary, made from Ash are especially productive as Ash trees are known to attract energy. Ash people are kind and generous with a gift for seeing what is beautiful in the world and in others. Ash people should be careful that their romantic hearts do not lead them into danger.

Uni Studios is one of the few parks that allows you to bring your own food and water, Pack lunch, snacks and make your way over to your favorite characters destination and have fun. Whatever you do, you’ve got to buy a Donut from Springfield, Home of The Simpsons, it’s not only delicious but it’s the size of a IPad. I recommend going early in the morning before it gets busy, that way you can catch all the rides. What’s great about Uni Studios there’s a large variety of stay and play options with area hotels. Even if you are within day-trip distance, it might be worth your while to stay if it maximizes your play time. Or you can do after 3 pm one day and then go early the next day. I hope you have as much fun as we did, see you Muggles at Wizarding School.
