The Wait is Finally Over and Disney/Pixar’s CARS 3 is Out and Here is My Review!

Thank you, Disney Pixar for inviting my son and me to a pre-screening of CARS 3, to say that this was a huge dream of mine is an understatement. My son loves CARS 1 & 2, so when I realized 3 was coming out, needless to say, I think I was more excited than him. CARS 3 will appeal to kids, grownups and car enthusiasts who love to keep the child within them alive.

CARS 3 ~ Blindsided by a new generation of blazing-fast cars, the legendary Lightning McQueen finds himself pushed out of the sport that he loves. Hoping to get back in the game, he turns to Cruz Ramirez, an eager young technician who has her own plans for winning. With inspiration from the Fabulous Hudson Hornet and a few unexpected turns, No. 95 prepares to compete on Piston Cup Racing's biggest stage.

CARS 3 is about not counting yourself out, believing in who you are and most importantly knowing that. Know that when you’re a threat to others they’ll do everything to knock you down and take you out. In order for them to do that, your faith in yourself isn't rocked solid. Don’t allow anyone to count you out, you are you and you have a lot to offer that’s why you’re feared.

I loved that they added two very strong woman CARS to the lineup. Kerry Washington who plays Natalie Certain, a no-nonsense, number crunching, fact basing woman that knows it all and she’s not condescending or bossy, she’s just who she is, an intelligent woman. Next, Cruz Ramirez voiced by Cristela Alonzo is the trainer brought on to help McQueen. Cruz who's a long time admirer of Lightning McQueen's talents eagerly wants to assist the veteran racer when he turns to her for help following his accident while racing in the Piston Cup. Cruz is up to speed on the newest cross fitness work out, fitness simulations and more, she is the ultimate dream coach to have on your side. Cruz knows how to take all her racers to the next level, physically and psychologically. Two women, individuals, err, I mean CARdividuals who aren’t threatening and accepted by their peers,

Disney Pixar thank you for showing that men and women may be friends without romance. Thank you for showing that a man may remain faithful even when there's a young hot smart sports car around. That chivalry, respect, and love, are of value, it’s absolutely imperative to behave in a decent manner and most importantly, it’s a way of life. Disney Pixar's 3rd film in the CARS franchise is stupendous! Cars 3 helmed by Brian Fee, allows you become one with the characters, and the bond, unbreakable. You’ll feel their pain which will make you sad and their victories which will make you want to jump out of your seat and scream.

CARS 3 is a story about growing old, chasing glory days, questioning past decisions and most importantly finding your voice and what your core values are. Your authentic self, what you were meant to do in this world. The end of the film was an emotional roller coaster for me, with all the unknown and uncertainty it was cathartic coming full circle. I really don’t want to spoil it, you’ll see what I’m talking about. I will share with you that I burst out crying when Lighting McQueen crashed. CARS 3 loaded with cameos and Easter eggs, so keep an ear out for some familiar voices and fun car references. See you at CARS 3 and Ka-Chow!!!!!
