Thank you Lionsgate for sending us an early DVD of A Storks Journey. Had my little one's friends over and it was absolutely adorable to see their faces light up watching an uplifting movie about love, acceptance and the importance of families beingdissimilar and no matter what our differences are, that love is real. Moms, heads up, abandonment is an issue of this adorable tale, and there are several sad moments, so be prepared to answer questions. My little guy wanted to know what happened to his parents, why he's alone. why he doesn't look like the storks, etc. The characters encounter to some degree dangerous enemies and fly into scary situations which might be scary for the littlest of little ones but everything eventually works out. From the sparrows, storks, owls, and other creatures, they are all lovely, full of life and funny. The colors are vivid, and the story is rich. We give it the mom approval, love the theme of the movie, family, love and coming into your own.

But when winter comes and the storks prepare to migrate to Africa, his stork family must reveal his true identity and leave him behind in the forest with the other sparrows since he would not survive the long journey. Determined to prove he is a stork after all, Richard ventures south on an epic adventure, accompanied by friends big and small, to unleash his true potential and be reunited with his family.
