Knott's Berry Farm Peanuts Celebration going on thru February 25!
You need to visit Knott's Berry Farm during there Peanuts Celebration because it’s fantastic! Knott's has basically taken the famous comic strip and turned Knott's into life-size comic strip! The entire parks theme is Charlie Brown and the Gang. Kite-eating trees are in every corner, character experience all over the park, animated photo opp., activities, shows and theme-treats that were absolutely delicious! First, let's start with Peanuts Sketch school at the Birdcage Theater. Their resident teacher will show you how to draw your favorite peanut character. Can I tell you how fun that was, it’s amazing, I was able to follow the teacher and actually drew Sally. Listen, I’m the one who draws a killer stick figure! I am your stick figure expert, now I feel like I can work at one of the animation studios. Lol, a girl can dream.
Wander over to Calico Park and catch the Peanuts Cowboy Jamboree. Franklin, Linus, and the gang have gone cowboy, it’s the cutest. Your little one will be entertained as much as you will. With their rootin tootin horsing around games, stick horse race, you’ll be laughing up a storm. Your next stop needs to be Camp Snoopy theater where you'll finally learn how many blockheads does it take to kick a football. And, no I’m not going to tell you because you have to see it for yourself. When I was little and watched Peanuts animation or read the strip I always wanted to hug Charlie Brown when Lucy would pull the ball from underneath him. Even now, when we were at the park, I gave Charlie Brown the biggest hug, poor guy probably thought, “why is this grown woman hugging me?” Charlie Brown if you're reading this, it was a hug of support.
Get up and shake your booty at the Calico Mine Stage. Sally and the gang welcome their new friend Brandon and Karin! You’ll be dancing in the aisle, make sure to video tape the show. I’m glad I did because my little one has been watching it over and over. The music is upbeat and fun, super easy to learn. You’ll be singing some of them in the days to come. Most of all you have to visit Livery Barn where the newest character has come to life, Pig-Pen! You’ll be able to see the stunning horses in the stable, resident donkey and the cutest little piggies. I’m in love with the piggies, I’d love to take one home if I knew they would stay teacup size, so stinking cute! The perfect place to have your picture taken with Pig-Pen at the stables with all the hay and animals.
On Sunday, February 4th, Knott’s is celebrating Good Ol’, Charlie Brown. Everyone is invited to join in on the Knott’s Peanuts Celebration to honor the lovable blockhead himself, Charlie Brown. Come dressed in his iconic yellow and zig-zag striped outfit and join in the Knott’s Peanuts Celebration fun! At 1:00 pm, all guests dressed up as Charlie Brown will join the big guy himself for the largest Charlie Brown Meet Up at the Calico Mine Stage. They’ll be celebrating the moment with a photo of the largest group of Charlie Browns at Knott's Berry Farm. Check out other ways to celebrate #CharlieBrownDay at Knott's Peanuts Celebration.
How lucky are we that we live in SoCal? Buena Park is a hop skip and away from where ever you live, that means you can visit Knott’s Berry Farm once a month. Purchase their season pass for $15.16 a month. If you don’t see yourself visiting Knott's every month for family fun time then visit Travelzoo, you can purchase park passes for $40.75. Take a look at the dates and blackout period. I do hope you can visit the park this Sunday for Charlie Brown Day.
Next up, one of the wonderful things about Knott’s, pack your own food and bring it in. Do not pack any desserts, you will 100% want to get dessert there. They’re delicious and so pretty, each yummy dessert also doubles as a great photo opportunity. Get there Season Souvenir Bottle, you’ll be able to get unlimited drinks, it’s a great value.
