DisneySMMC was packed full of surprises and mind-blowing moments, the first one was when Bob Chapek walked out on stage. When Bob Chapek, the Chairman of Walt Disney Parks graced the stage, for a split second I thought we were being punked. Let this moment sink in, the man who deals with Dignitaries, Presidents, Heads of State, Men and Women whom can change the course of life, is standing in front of us with a warm smile. He was here to talk to 150 Disney Influencers, Mr. Chapek took time out to share what was in store for Disney but most importantly to welcome us to Walt Disney World. Mind blown, I didn’t even interact with him and I was nervous, listening to him was inspirational. Before I tell you what’s happening you need to know what Mr. Chapek oversees to know why I was so excited.
The iconic Mr. Bob Chapek spearheads the Company’s iconic travel and leisure businesses, which include six resort destinations in the United States, Europe and Asia, a top-rated cruise line, a popular vacation ownership program, and an award-winning guided family adventure business. He leads a global team of more than 145,000 Cast Members, Crew Members, and Imagineers charged with delivering magical experiences and exceeding the expectations of millions of guests each year. Imagine knowing all this about someone and then, viola, the man, the myth, the legend has just taken the stage.
Some pretty exciting things are taking place if you haven’t heard already heard. On Earth Day, April 22, 2018, Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World Resort will debut “UP! A Great Bird Adventure,” a brand-new show featuring Russell and Dug from the Disney•Pixar animated comedy adventure film “UP.” The show will give guests the chance to see Senior Wilderness Explorer Russell and his fuzzy friend Dug in a new adventure that includes encounters with exotic birds from around the world. (Disney•Pixar/Walt Disney World Resort) Up is one of my favorite animations, a story about believing in love, hope and knowing that there is a little kid in all of us that just needs to be let out. This is exactly what “UP! A Great Bird Adventure,” will be, I can’t wait to experience it.
STAR WARS-INSPIRED HOTEL at LAKE BUENA VISTA, Florida. Now this means I MUST go back to experience this fantastic hotel. Families visiting the new Star Wars-inspired hotel coming to Walt Disney World Resort will board a starship alive with characters and stories that unfold during their voyage through the galaxy and every window has a view of space. The resort will be seamlessly connected to the highly anticipated Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge land at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, allowing Guests a complete Star Wars experience. (Disney)

Complimentary airport transportation, complimentary magic bands which I think is the coolest thing next to apple pie. Each family member receives a magic band, the magic band works as your room key, you can enter theme parks, check-in at the Fast-Pass entrance, connect your Disney Photopass and charge food and merchandise purchases to your Disney Resort hotel room (only available during your hotel stay).
