Station 19 Debuts in the TGIT Lineup with a Two-Hour Premiere ‪on Thursday, March 22 Starting at 9‬|

Two weeks ago I was watching Grey’s Anatomy and if you’re a Grey’s junkie like I am (watching since the pilot,) you know Warren (Jason George) character is leaving Grey’s Sloan Hospital to pursue a career as a Firefighter. Grey’s shows us what happens when patients are brought in, Station 19 will show you what lead up to them being brought in. In the episode two weeks ago, kickass Jaina Ortiz character (Herrera) is saving a life, a leader with strength and a story that I can’t wait to see revealed. Seeing this one character I’m already in love with Station 19, now that I’ve met the cast and I know 100% this show will be a success. Not because it’s part of Shondaland but because the entire cast is outstanding and they are a team.

From Jaina Lee Ortiz, Jason George, Grey Damon, Barrett Doss, Alberto Frezza, Jay Hayden, Okieriete Onaodowan, Danielle Savre and Miguel Sandoval, this is an award-winning cast! What I love the most, they have three women on the show Jaina Lee Ortiz, Danielle Savre and Barrett Doss who are unapologetically smart, confident, non-competitive amongst each other and most importantly they are leaders. Every little girl will be looking up to these women, they’re great role models, thank you Shonda Rhimes for making sure we have positive woman on TV for our little girls.

Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers serve as executive producers of Station 19 and they've written one of the hottest upcoming TV shows, the heat is on. Set in Seattle, the series focuses on the lives of the men and women at Seattle Fire Station 19. The series is produced by Shondaland and ABC Studios. Fun Fact, they modeled Station 19 after Station 20 in Seattle, there are rooms that mirrored just like Station 20 but Station 19 has it's own unique twists. Practically raised at Seattle's Station 19, Andy Herrera is a confident firefighter who is also the daughter of Pruitt Herrera, the formidable head of the firehouse. Capt. Pruitt was Andy's primary inspiration to become a firefighter and is a mentor to both her and Jack Gibson, the lieutenant at the station. Jack is as fearless as Andy is by-the-books, but when the two are together, sparks fly and opposites attract. The two are joined by Maya Bishop, Dean Miller, Travis Montgomery, Victoria Hughes, and the station's newest addition, rookie Ben Warren. The team also works closely with Seattle PD, often running into Andy's former flame Ryan Tanner.
