Disney ZOMBIES Toot Treats!

If you’ve got a little a little one then you know they are fascinated with bodily noises, especially boys. The hilarity of it doesn’t go unseen, especially the one, “hey mom, pull my finger,” or “smell this.” So when it came down to creating a fun treat for Disney Zombies, my little one inspired me.

Started talking about Zombies and my kiddo asked if Zombies poop? That’s a great question!? LOL ...Got me thinking and it dawned on me, TOOT! Toot is an ethnic dessert that is perfect for Zombie poop. Easy to make, your kiddo can help and they are round so they will look like poop (Toot) Zombie droppings. Laugh now but this will catch up. Easter bunny has Jelly Bean droppings and now Zombies will have Toot droppings.

Toot is Marzipan Candy, vegan, no-bake dessert made with just 5 ingredients, WooHoo!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of slivered almonds, plus more for garnish

  • 1 cup of powdered sugar

  • ½ cup granulated sugar

  • 2 tablespoons of rosewater (golab)

  • ¼ teaspoon cardamom

Instructions

  1. Add 1 cup of almonds, the powdered sugar and cardamom to your food processor. Blend for 2-3 minutes until it is all an even consistently.

  2. Add in 1 tablespoon of rosewater and blend for another minute. Repeat with the 2nd tablespoon of rosewater. The mixture should come together as a dough now, test it with your fingers. If it has some give and feel like dough, you're ready!

  3. Now the assembly line. Fill a flat, shallow pan with your granulated sugar, this is what you'll use to roll your formed toot in to coat.

  4. Pinch a piece of dough and roll between your palms into a ball about the size of a grape. Once you've made a ball, form it into a cone by pinching one end and flattening the other.

  5. Roll your marzipan cone in the granulated sugar bath and finally, insert a long almond sliver into the fatter end to make it look like the stem of the mulberry fruit. Now repeat this step. Serve immediately or store in an air tight container and enjoy later!

  6. Side Note: I used slivered pistachios as the 'stem' however you can use almonds or not use anything at all.

  7. I’ve added green and red food coloring, the green is for Zombie poop and the red for bloody zombie poop. Or you could skip the food coloring all together.

Enjoy! Make you sure you catch Disney's "ZOMBIES" on DVD April 24th.

When zombies are finally allowed to enroll in Seabrook High School, the charming, charismatic zombie Zed, who is determined to play football, meets freshman Addison who dreams of being a cheerleader -- the ultimate form of status in Seabrook. Addison takes a lot of flak for befriending Zed and his zombie friends, but comes to learn that zombies and cheerleaders aren't so different after all. Zed and Addison work together to show Seabrook what they can achieve when they embrace their differences and celebrate what makes them a community.
