Ashley Eckstein is Her Universe, Be Inspired, Be Moved, Be Who You Are Meant to Be!
Have you ever heard someone speak and instantaneously you’re mesmerized by every word they’re saying? Literally, as you’re hearing these impactful words, the wheels in your head are turning and you start to write down your thoughts, trying to listen what is being said and hoping you won’t forget anything of what your hearing and most importantly not to forgot what you're trying to furiously write down. When Ashley Eckstein walked out on stage, that’s what happened to me.
First a little bit about Ashley Eckstein. Ashley is the force behind Her Universe. Ashley is an actress and the founder of her own company, and now she can add author to the list of her accomplishments! Her new book comes out on May 8, which must be read by all. Her Universe is a groundbreaking fangirl fashion company and lifestyle brand founded by actress and entrepreneur Ashley Eckstein, whose mission is to create stylish, fashion-forward merchandise for female sci-fi fans. Getting back to my Aha moment, the light bulb in my head went off and bam, I started asking myself why I’m stopping myself, questioning my thoughts and actions. Instead, I should trust my gut, my instincts are on point. Worst case scenario if something doesn’t work at least I tried and if it does, then, success. That’s what life is all about, figuring things out. When someone tells you no, that no isn’t for you, that’s the no they’ve been told, that’s not your “no”, it’s there’s.
In order for us to move on, to grow and flourish we need to face our inner demons. We must heal our soul so it may grow. It took me 40 years to learn to like myself and I don’t want another woman to go through that. Know that you have a voice, you are important, you bring something to the table. Never feel inadequate, or less than, you’re giving your power away willingly. Stop now, no one can make you feel anything, only you have the power to feel something, so why not make it positive. We live in an era where social media shows us highlights of everyone’s lives and we forget these are quick snapshots. As moms we’re all losing our minds, some at a slower pace than others but we’re all in the same boat, lol. So don’t think one mom has it all together, they don’t. Most importantly NEVER walk into a room and say to yourself, “she’s prettier than I am.” No one is prettier than you, we all have a unique beauty and that’s what makes you, you. Remember a rose doesn’t look at another rose with jealousy, they bloom magnificently with an aroma that’s intoxicating, you are that rose.
This is why I’m a Disney Mom, being at DisneySMMC reminds me that “I am.” Disney is the very epitome of hope, pixie dust is very real, it makes you feel alive, brings optimism and happiness that is unsurpassed. I left a better woman, learning about myself that I am going to be whoever I envision myself to be, I can carry love in my heart, have faith for something bigger and better and manifest opportunities for myself that otherwise wouldn’t arise. Listening to Ashley was just that, she reminded me that I can do anything I set my mind too. Surround yourself with women that believe in themselves and that aren't threatened by others but help one another. As a woman, it’s important that we lend a hand, help one another grow. Hillary Clinton once said, “Life is too short, time is too precious, and the stakes are too high to dwell on what might have been...See, you can be anything you want to be.”
Ashley thank you for lighting the fire in my belly and in turn, I hope, yes you, the one reading this, I hope to inspire you to go after what your heart desires, follow your dreams, love yourself, be kind to yourself and most importantly the unspoken words that are thoughts in your head, may they be positive, you’re listening.

My wish is for you to use whichever one of these words you like..I am powerful, a woman, mother, daughter, great mother, wonderful wife, strong, fantastic single mom, survivor, happy, hopeful, kind, loving and much more. Wake up every morning and say, “I AM...”
