INCREDIBLES 2 Playing NOW!!!!

t’s been 14 years (2004) since the first Incredibles so when I heard there was going to be an Incredibles 2 I truthfully didn’t think anything of it until I saw it. Never did I think we needed a 2 but OMG, this is the one movie that a sequel was a MUST. Incredibles 2 is INCREDIBLE! I laughed so hard that I snorted Pepsi through my nose. Not my finest moment, lol, but that’s how hard I was laughing throughout the movie.

Craig T. Nelson and Holly Hunter have reprised their characters as Bob and Helen Parr aka Mr. Incredible. Back in the super cool Frozone, who's voiced by Samuel L. Jackson and can shoot ice from his fingertips, and Edna Mode, the superhero genius who’s a fashion badass that designs state-of-the-art superhero couture. She's voiced again by Bird himself which is EPIC.

Speaking of the superpowered newborn, Jack-Jack is the funniest onscreen baby. “You have powers! Yeah, baby!” and boy does he have powers. From shooting lasers with his eyes, traveling through walls, transforming into a little monster and more, he’s outstanding. Here’s the thing, all those powers that Jack Jack has are exactly what our toddlers go through when they have a sweetheart of a tantrum, it just so happens that Jack Jack has us rolling with his baby antics.

There were two scenes to be specific, as a mom of a soon to be kindergartner that was hysterical. The first was when Dash was about to eat dinner, who’s kiddo does this, I know mine does EVERYDAY? LOL

[Dash reaches out to pick up a spring roll] Violet Parr: Did you wash your hands? [Dash quickly speeds off, washes his hands and returns in a matter of seconds and reaches for the spring roll again] Violet Parr: With soap? [Dash speeds off to wash his hands with soap, returns again to reach out for the spring roll] Violet Parr: Did you dry them? [Dash shakes his hands to dry them, picks up and spring roll and stuff it into his mouth, Helen passes him a takeout box] Dashiell ‘Dash’ Parr: What?! Is this all vegetables?! Who ordered all vegetables? Helen Parr: I did. Violet Parr: So are we going to talk about it? Bob Parr: What? Violet Parr: The elephant in the room. Bob Parr: What elephant? Violet Parr: Mom’s new job.

How about homework? Have you noticed that things are done differently? Has teaching changed that much?

[Bob is helping Dash with his math homework] Dashiell ‘Dash’ Parr: That’s not the way you’re supposed to do it, dad. They want us to do it this way. [holds up his book] Bob Parr: I don’t know that way. Why would they change math? Math is math! Dashiell ‘Dash’ Parr: It’s okay, dad. Bob Parr: Math is math!

Thank you, Disney, for inviting me to experience Incredibles 2, it was funny, glorious to watch and most of all it felt like home. This is a feel-good family movie that’s uplifting, engaging and visually stunning. There's nothing like family, especially the love of parents, siblings and ventures shared is the glue that keeps us together. This is a family adventure that can’t be missed!

In “Incredibles 2,” Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose superpowers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.
