HOW TO TRAIN YOUR DRAGON: THE HIDDEN WORLD!

Thank you Universal Pictures for inviting us to an early screening of How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World and Press Junket with Jay Baruchel and America Ferrera. The first installment of How To Train Your Dragon came out 2010 I fell in love with Hiccup, he's quirky, spunky and the unique way he approaches life is endearing. Now, I know my little one is a copy of Hiccup, he appreciates every moment with his whole heart, loves unconditionally and believes that everything life has to offer is precious. He, like Hiccup, is quirky and is trying to find his way and I know that what's ahead of him is glorious, like Hiccup. I’m sad to see the series come to an end but I’m thrilled with the ending, it's come full circle and it was stupendous. I will not spoil the movie for you but I will tell you that you’ll find yourself crying, clutching your heart at one point and then, you’ll be in AWH. You'll leave with a smile and warmth in your heart. I was given the opportunity to ask Jay Baruchel a question: BelAirMommie:
What word, or what advice would you give children that are in that awkward stage, and they’re dealing with not fitting in?
Jay Baruchel:
Yeah, the same ones I would have liked to have been able to go back and tell myself, which is you know, tell me that there’s such a thing as a late bloomer. And also, my mom would say, “If you feel like school is unfair, and you wonder why the popular kids get all the attention, blah, blah, blah, and how come they keep winning and you feel like you’re on the bottom rung or whatever,” she is like, “Those kids peak now.” And she was like, “Would you rather peak in high school, or would you rather have your whole life ahead of you,” you know? And so, I kind of always had my eyes on the prize. I knew that. I had a great, great childhood and a lot of good friends, all that stuff. But, I always knew it was all just preamble. And I also was encouraged from a very early age to be truthful to myself. So, as I said, I didn’t grow up playing hockey. It wasn’t for lack of trying on my dad’s part. But, however, once he saw my interests, once he saw that I love movies, he encouraged the heck out of that. And so, me being in movies is in large part because my dad saw an interest and encouraged it. He didn’t necessarily need me to play hockey. He just needed me to care about something.
So don't worry if your little one is skipping to their beat of there own, their song is strong, beautiful and unique, just like themselves, just like Hiccup.
