Focus Features, Greta Film hitting Theaters March 1st!

Thank you Focus Features for inviting me to the Premiere of Greta Film and afterparty! If you know me well you know there are two things I rarely do, first, purposely see a movie that would scare me and second, go out past 7:30 pm. Focus Features sent me an invitation I couldn't turn down, it sounded mystifying and it did not disappoint. Let me tell you, not only was it an amazing night, the movie was outstanding.

I knew, going into Greta I was going to get a little spooked, after watching Greta I know 100% that I’ll never talk to a stranger and if I find anything I’ll turn it into the police station immediately. Isabelle Huppert‎ and ‎Chloë Grace Moretz give a powerful performance, they’ll have you twisting and turning in your seat, actually, you’ll want to scream like I did but don’t, I scared the people sitting next to me, you don’t want that happening to you. Seatmate, if you’re reading this, I am sorry I screamed in your ear several times.

A story about a young girl in her twenties living in NYC with her best friend, she’s light and airy. Then she meets a demented, stalking psychotic woman who’s the very definition of a sociopath. Chloë character finds a stunning green handbag on the subway, picks it up and she plans to do the right thing, return it to the owner. This is where her problems start. Get ready to have your stomach churn, heart pound and get frustrated. I can’t recommend this movie enough. I firmly believe it’s important to watch a movie that gets you thinking and have your heart beating. I will not spoil the movie for you, what I will say is go to a theater where you can have a drink in hand to calm your nerves, trust me, you’ll thank me later.

I have a surprise for you! I’m giving one lucky reader the very SAME green handbag. Enter here and let me know when you plan to see Greta, whom you’re going with and what you think about the trailer so far! Let's chat, I want to know what you think. Contest ends March 6th midnight. Winner must have a valid mailing address, the winner will be emailed the morning of March 7th, 2019. Good Luck!

Synopsis

A sweet, naïve young woman trying to make it on her own in New York City, Frances (Chloë Grace Moretz) doesn’t think twice about returning the handbag she finds on the subway to its rightful owner. That owner is Greta (Isabelle Huppert), an eccentric French piano teacher with a love for classical music and an aching loneliness. Having recently lost her mother, Frances quickly grows closer to widowed Greta. The two become fast friends — but Greta’s maternal charms begin to dissolve and grow increasingly disturbing as Frances discovers that nothing in Greta’s life is what it seems in this suspense thriller from Academy Award®-winning director Neil Jordan.
