Jurassic World: The Ride is OPEN at Universal Studios!

Last year when I was told that Jurassic Park -The Ride was going to close for remodeling I was super sad because I thought, there is no way that they could make it better. There I said it, I didn’t believe it could get any more amazing than it already was. Boy was I wrong, it is stupendous!

Jurassic Park: The Ride was created for Universal Studios Hollywood on June 1996. On the 25th anniversary celebration of the movie, it was announced that the ride would be closed down and updated to match the successful 2015 film Jurassic World. The ride keeps some of the dinosaur encounters from the original attraction, including Stegosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Velociraptor, and Dilophosaurus. New to the attraction is an opening sequence that takes place indoors, putting the raft ride in the center of a tunnel that goes through Mosasaurus lagoon aquarium observatory. And the finale has been reworked to put us in the center of a battle between the Tyrannosaurus Rex and the Indominus Rex before the riders’ raft plunges down an 84-foot waterfall. The aquarium observatory section responds to real-world weather, which means if it’s raining outside, it will appear also to be raining in the tank. Your heart will be beating so fast, we, I mean I, screamed so loud and so much that my voice was scratchy the rest of the day.

Once you’ve come off the ride make your way to Jurassic Café for a delicious hamburger and Isla Nu-Bar for a killer Pina Colada. When the kiddos are done eating and you’re sitting back enjoying your drink, the kids can run around in the Dino Play area. There's also new Raptor Encounter with Blue including a new Baby Raptor and Triceratops encounters. Make sure you stay to experience, The return of Dark Arts at Hogwarts Castle light show ‪until August 11! ‬Check out my stories for all the pics.

Don’t forget to take a studio tour and take pics with ALL the characters you see. The newest character is Guy Diamond from Trolls, he’s hysterical and his dance moves were the best.

I hope you have a wonderful time visiting Universal Studios as much as we did. Thank you, Universal for inviting us to discover the new ride. We are so lucky that you’re in our backyard.
