Thank you Paramount Pictures for inviting us to DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD pre-screening. What a lovely afternoon at the Four Seasons Hotel, we screened our movie and met the cast of DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD. We met Director James Bobin, Eva Longoria, Michael Pena, Jeff Wahlberg, Eugnenio Derbez and Isabela Moner. Take a look at our afternoon here.
DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD is adorable and I’m not just saying that because when my little one was a baby we use to watch it all the time, this was truly the cutest movie EVER.
Dora the Explorer was 7 years old when audiences met her on television, who traveled the world seeking answers and solving puzzles with her lovable backpack singing songs that will get you dancing with her monkey, BOOTS. Nearly 20 years have passed since the show first aired but only 10 in Dora’s world, which means her live-action debut, director James Bobin’s “Dora and the Lost City of Gold,” I’m loving all the live-action movies being released this year, it gives all our childhood movies a new, fresh feel with all the warm and fuzzy feelings.
Dora (Isabela Moner, “Instant Family”) and her parents (Michael Peña and Eva Longoria) have lived in the jungles of South America for all of Dora’s life. The jungle is her home, school, and her playground, and like many young teenagers, she runs through her life documenting everything with a GoPro strapped on, speaking to an invisible audience about the wonders of exploring the rain forest. For over a decade, in between homeschooling Dora and creating a family life in the jungle, her professor parents have been searching for the lost Incan city of Parapata and have just found the key to its location somewhere in the jungles of Peru. Let the adventure begin!
DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD has a little bit of Indiana Jones flare which brings excitement and adventure. DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD underlying message, be who you are unapologetically, stand up for what you believe in, most of all, hold your loved ones in your heart and high regard. DORA AND THE LOST CITY OF GOLD is a movie that perpetuates, love, understanding, and patience for all walks of life, a movie of such innocence is needed in today's climate.
Dora and the Lost City of Gold is in theaters August 9, take the entire family to see the movie!
