DIY Firefighter Costume!

To celebrate Playing with Fire my kiddo was requesting a Fire mans outfit of his very own, so we created a homemade one. You can pick up the base of the outfit at your local thrift shop, black pants and black jacket. Here is a step by step process to create the rest:

Step 1:

Place strips of yellow reflective tape along the bottom edge of the coat make sure you go all the way around. I also used a white strip in between the yellow reflective tape, it pops in color.

Step 2:

Place another strip of yellow reflective tape across the coat's chest, all around.

Step 3:

Place one ring of reflective yellow tape on each of the coat's lower arms. Repeat with the upper arms if you like.

Step 4:

Outline the coat's collar in reflective tape.

Step 5:

Apply a ring of reflective tape around the top of each boot or if you have rain boots, use that.

Step 6:

Top off your little Chiefs outfit with a plastic firefighter's hat. Voila, your costume is complete.

Playing With Fire

Release date: November 8, 2019

When straight-laced fire superintendent Jake Carson and his elite team of firefighters come to the rescue of three siblings, they quickly realize that no amount of training could prepare them for their most challenging job yet -- babysitting. As their lives, jobs and depot get turned upside down, the three men soon learn that children -- much like fires -- are wild and unpredictable.
