Beach Cities Residents Work Year-Round to Help Prevent Child Abuse Angelic Auxiliary plans 18 th Annual Carnival at the Pier to Benefit Children’s Bureau

The Angelic Auxiliary, comprised of 44 humanitarian-minded women from the West Los Angeles area, will host its 18 th Annual Carnival at the Pier on Sunday, March 15, 2020 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Pacific Park on the Santa Monica Pier. The group hosts this family-friendly event each year to support Children’s Bureau’s child abuse treatment and prevention services.

Since 1996, The Angelic Auxiliary has raised more than 2.1 million in support of Children’s Bureau through Carnival at the Pier, but their work extends far beyond this annual event. Auxiliary members support Children’s Bureau fundraising initiatives throughout the year and volunteer for family events including the Halloween Spooktacular, Family Thanksgiving event, and the Annual Toy Boutique. “Families, friends and the members of the Angelic Auxiliary look forward to this day all year. Not only do we get to enjoy a private, fun day at the pier, but it is all the more rewarding knowing that all of the funds raised go toward Children’s Bureau’s life-changing programs and services,” says Yvonne Hsieh-Schumacher, President of the Angelic Auxiliary. Members to note include Angelic Auxiliary President Yvonne Hsieh-Schumacher and Vice President Jacqueline Pack who both reside in Pacific Palisades.

Since 1904, Children's Bureau (www.all4kids.org) has been a nonprofit leader in protecting vulnerable children through prevention, treatment and advocacy. The agency is unique in that it focuses on three key areas for creating impact: strengthening families and communities, building peer capacity and ANGELIC AUXILIARY MEMBERS AT THE 17 TH ANNUAL CARNIVAL AT THE PIER transforming systems and communities.
