A BABYSITTER'S GUIDE TO MONSTER HUNTING will release tomorrow on Netflix - Thursday, October 15th!

Thank you @netflixfilm for inviting me to A BABYSITTER'S GUIDE TO MONSTER HUNTING zoom junket with:

Tamara Smart (‘Kelly Ferguson’)

Oona Laurence (‘Liz Lerue’)

Troy Leigh-Anne Johnson (‘Berna Vincent’)

Lynn Masako Cheng (‘Cassie Zhen’)

Ty Consiglio (‘Curtis Critter’)

One of my first questions to the ladies was, what they’d like audience goers to learn from their characters, their full response is in the interview above.

The movie is absolutely Spooktacular fun, it teaches girls to be unapologetically smart, be you and accept each other for who you are. Appreciate what everyone has to bring to the table.

I have to say, I personally loved the way the movie was filmed, from the bedroom scenes, party and more, it was an easy flow and seemed realistic if lived in a world of ghosts and ghouls and toadies and more. I felt as if they were setting up the movie for it to be a franchise, there are currently 3 books and during the movie they talked about 7 main monsters? So maybe more films are in the making? I hope so, because this is the level of scare that my heart can take, good, clean, fun adventure that’s great for the entire family!

BTW: did you know Tom Felton is part of this amazing cast. Tom Felton plays, The Grand Guignol. Still wondering why Toms name sounds familiar? He is none other than Draco Malfoy from the Harry Potter films and from house of Slytherin! Tom brings The Grand Guignol to life in a spectacular sinisterly way, he’ll have you in awe and wonderment as he always does.

This is the perfect movie to set us up for the holidays, so I’d grab a bucket of popcorn and bring the family together for family night. Oh, make sure you leave the closet doors open and check underneath your bed for some misadventures fun with the kids.

Here’s a fun tip, set up an “adventure of your own.” Get your kids stuffies and hide them through out the house and after the movie go on a search a rescue mission. Draw out a map of all the places in house you need to go to, this will be the clues for your kiddo and then turn the lights off and go on your exploration with flashlights only, and don’t forget to laugh along the way. Hope you run into a few toadies!

Happy Halloween

The film is based on the first book in Joe Ballarini’s series of the same name. Our babysitter’s first assignment goes awry when the kid is kidnapped by the Boogeyman. Kelly encounters a secret society of babysitters who will do anything to protect kids, including wielding weapons to fight off a ton of monsters. There’s also an ancient handbook to guide the crew through their quest to defeat the source of every kid’s worst nightmares for good.
