A Week Away is on Netflix NOW!

Thank you Netflix, Kevin Quinn, Bailee Madison, Jahbril Cook and Kat Conner Sterling for sitting down with me to talk about #AWeekAway a Netflix Film being released on Friday, March 26, 2021! Catch the interview above or tune into my Instagram page!

‘A Week Away’ is the first faith-based musical of its kind. Will Hawkins (Kevin Quinn) is in trouble. Again. It’s what he does best. A foster kid since he was ten, he’s been in and out of more homes and schools than his case worker can count. After his final run-in with the law he has a choice to make – go to juvie or a Christian summer camp.

The film was shot on location at YMCA Camp Widjiwagan just outside Nashville, Tennessee, in 2019. Unlike other productions where different elements are spread out about the country or done virtually, A Week Away had rehearsals, filming, and music recordings all in one location.

FUN FACTS: ‘A Week Away’ was a 21 day shoot that featured more than 100 extra campers for the bigger musical numbers!

Kat shared her favorite songs from the movie ...drum roll please...Dive, Good Enough, and Best Thing Ever. While Jabril’s favorite dance number is Dive and favorite song is Baby Baby. And here’s something you would have NEVER known when watching ‘A Week Away,’ this is Jahbril’s and Kat’s first feature film!

So get ready to dance and sing, because ‘A Week Away’ will leave you feeling all the feels. I felt hopeful, and most importantly it’s not what your situation is in life it’s how you react to your situation.
